TALKS AND DEMONSTRATIONS

Illustrated talks and lectures are provided by Joy and Maurice on a wide range of subjects which are indicative of their experience. Joy has been instrumental in establishing the Nursery whilst Maurice has been involved a lifetime in horticulture having previously been Director of Parks with Belfast City Council.

The following is a list of the topics that are offered:

  • The Birth of an Ulster Garden

Other topics can be considered.

If required plants can be brought along for sale at the talks.

Demonstrations can also be arranged at the Cottage Garden or at a specific venue. There is a limit to what can be brought to a particular venue and discussion with us is essential.

We also offer demonstrations and workshops which are seasonal. We will also provide workshops related to specific requests.

  •  Container Gardening
  •  Spring Bulbs/Baskets/Window Boxes
  •  Summer Hanging Baskets – including care instructions
  •  Autumn Baskets/Containers – incorporating grasses for texture
  • Winter Containers – creating the Christmas themes.
  • Pruning in the garden for effect

  • Renovating garden borders.

  • Propagation made easier.
